Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (Cardiac Specialty)

Shift: Days | Monday – Friday | 07:00 – 15:00 (8-Hour Shifts)
Department: Surgical Services

On-Call Requirements (Strictly Enforced)

• Response Time: Must arrive on-site within 30 minutes of notification.
• Weekday Call: Minimum of 1 night per week (23:00 – 07:00); maximum 2 nights per week.
• Weekend Call: Rotating schedule (approximately every 5th weekend), covering Saturday and Sunday (24-hour coverage each day).
• Location: Call is taken from home via personal mobile device.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a focus on Cardiac surgery to provide high-quality perioperative care. Reporting to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services, you will oversee patient care for all age groups (neonatal through geriatric), coordinating closely with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure efficient patient flow and surgical excellence.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience:
  • Minimum of one year of Perioperative experience or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • Specific Cardiac surgery experience is required.
  • Experience in Pre-Op and Post-Op care preferred.
• Licensure: Current and valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Education: BSN preferred.
• Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA): Required upon hire.
  • ACLS (AHA) & PALS (AHA): Required within 30 days of hire.
  • CNOR (AORN): Preferred.
