We’re excited to announce the opening of our new San Simeon Tasting Room; an elevated winery destination built around a curated food-and-wine experience in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. We’re inviting enthusiastic, service-minded individuals to join our founding team as we debut this new luxury experience alongside our sister winery, Jada Vineyard & Winery.
Role SummaryThe Restaurant Manager oversees all food service operations within San Simeon Estates, ensuring the culinary experience integrates seamlessly with the winery’s tasting and pairing programs. This position bridges the kitchen, tasting room, and floor operations to deliver a unified and elevated guest experience.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCurrent duties may be changed if the job requires and/or additional duties may be assigned if necessary.
- Manage all restaurant and food service operations in alignment with winery standards.
- Oversee daily service flow between tasting areas, pairing rooms, and kitchen.
- Collaborate with the Tasting Room Manager and Chef to ensure seamless timing and pacing.
- Train, schedule, and supervise FOH staff to deliver elevated service.
- Monitor food and wine sales, labor, and cost controls.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and ABC regulations.
- Support execution of wine club events, dinners, and private experiences.
- Facilitate communication between culinary and service teams.
- Experience:
5+ years of experience in a full-service restaurant management role. - Experience in managing day-to-day operations of a high-volume restaurant and a strong understanding of operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction.
- Experienced leader in fine dining or winery hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of wine service and pairing principles.
- Excellent communicator and motivator of teams.
- Balances hospitality warmth with operational precision.
- Must be willing to work weekends.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and carry up to 50 pounds.
Pay Range
$70,000 - $80,000 USD
