Manufacturing Assembler

Scientific Drilling is looking for a Manufacturing Assembler to join our Applied Technologies Center in Paso Robles, CA. Scientific Drilling is an independent directional drilling and wellbore navigation, surveying and logging service company serving customers in oil & gas and sustainable geothermal worldwide. Our Manufacturing Assembler will work in our Manufactuing team and is expected to perform the essential duties listed below. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Committed to Safety as first priority.
• Learn through hands on training while focusing on achieving necessary level of proficiency.
• Must be able to complete and pass Solder training course and have the ability to maintain certification.
• Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Assemble mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand tools and calibrated equipment.
• Follow blueprints, work instructions and wiring diagrams to assemble mechanical and electronic devices.
• Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, weld, solder, epoxy, press fit and/or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
• Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on printed circuit boards and chassis.
• Connect component leads to printed circuit boards or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points using soldering procedures and equipment.
• May perform assembly operations under microscope or another magnifying device.
• May be required to work in a Clean Room environment, must be able to adhere to the Clean Room standard operating procedure.
• Perform on-line go-not-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
• Learn applicable IPC standards. Must successfully complete solder training course (company provided).
