The Waste Transfer Station Supervisor in Paso Robles, CA plays a key leadership role overseeing daily transfer station operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant workflow across a team of equipment operators, drivers, scalehouse staff, and laborers. Working a schedule of 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or until operations conclude, this leader is responsible for driving operational performance, coaching employees on efficiency and route management, reinforcing a strong safety culture, and maintaining high standards of documentation, training, and process improvement.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a busy North San Luis Obispo County site while working in the scenic Paso Robles area known for its vineyards, welcoming community, and proximity to the Central Coast.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervises the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of processes, procedures and programs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability of the transfer station.
  • Supervises transfer station staff and coordinates workflow and assignments.
  • Conducts recurring safety/compliance meetings.
  • Reconciles facility revenue from operations, facility billing, and monthly P-card statements. Processes employee payroll.
  • Orders supplies as needed.
  • Creates and submits weekly and month end reports to senior management.
  • Oversees personnel needs of the department including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
  • 4 years of relevant work experience

The expected base pay range for this office/on-site position is $62,790 - $70,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.

In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay.
