Job Summary

Para educator – Behavioral Health position for Glen Speck Elementary School PCN #260157. Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator and site administrator, and under the direction of the Behavior Health – TOSA, the Behavioral विराट Health Assistant Para educator will provide support to all students, including but not limited to students with social‑emotional and behavioral issues. The Behavioral Health Assistant will implement comprehensive positive behavioral support plans, effective behavior management strategies, and social‑emotional strategies;

deliver instruction; participate as a member of the educational team; and help design and implement all components of a student’s behavior and emotional support program.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Graduation or equivalent (required). Must meet ONE of the following:

    • 48 semester college units (provide transcripts)

    • Pass District Para educator Exam (offered every Thursday at 1 pm at 800 Niblick Rd)

    • Certificate of Proficiency for Instructional Aides (NCLB certificate)

    • Associate's degree or higher
  • Experience: Experience working in an educational setting implementing intensive behavioral intervention programs for students with complex and/or severe behavioral problems.
