Occupational Therapist; AWWA​/Activity Centre

The AWWA Home consists of 2 services for adults with disabilities. They are Day Activity Centre and Adult Disability Home. Client groups include physical disability and multiple sieben disabilities such as intellectual disability, cerebral palsy etc. In AWWA Home, the focus of the home emphasize on empowering the clients to actively participate in Activities of Daily Living and Community Living Skills.

Occupational Therapist play a big part in exploringۇر roles and routines of these clients in the community, and implementing interventions and programs together with the interprofessional collaborative team to promote independent living and community integration as the clients transit into adulthood.

• Assess and identify the individual needs of clients and formulate, develop and implement appropriate individualized therapy programmes
• training programmes and review its effectiveness
• Liaise with various disciplines involved in the rehabilitative treatment process
• Refer clients to the respective specialists for consultation and intervention

• Full Registrant with the Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore
• Candidate with working experience in Adult Disability setting would be an advantage
