Roaster Operator; Night Shift Pasco, WA

The Roaster Operator tends, maintains, and adjusts machines that roast and freeze a variety of vegetables and fruits. This individual ensures that product and roasting requirements are met safely, efficiently and with minimal waste.

• Maintains the start up and continuous operation of roasting equipment while maintaining efficiencies and assists the department in meeting or exceeding daily roasting goals
• Obtains daily work schedules and completes work orders based on standard operating procedures
• Ensures roasting equipment functions according to specifications
• Prepares roasting equipment prior to product run including cleaning and making adjustments
• Notifies mechanics of any mechanical issues on packaging equipment
• Maintains safe and clean working environment
• Performs other duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent

• Preferred two years plus related experience
• Good knowledge of computer systems
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to balance multiple tasks, be flexible and work well under pressure
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment; team player with strong work ethic

Forklift lift experience required and ability to be certified
