Qualifications

The Occupational Health Technician is responsible for providing drug and alcohol testing and other ancillary services. The critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal customer service, consisting of an outgoing positive attitude, warm, friendly, joyful demeanor, and the utmost care and respect for our guests, patients, families, customers, and colleagues.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education:

High School or equivalent required.

Required Skills
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Bilingual and/or English and Spanish speaking preferred. Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Licenses:
    Life Lock or equivalent Certified Professional Collector, and Life Lock Certified Breath Alcohol Technician, or certified within twelve (12) months after hire date.
  • Two (2) or more years' experience in Drug testing or as a medical technician is desired; knowledge of drug screening rules and regulations is desirable. Preferred understanding of Occupational Health or a related field.
Essential Functions
  • Perform Drug Screens both in clinic and on-site settings.
  • Perform Breath and Alcohol Test in clinic and on-site settings.
  • Demonstrate competency in department‑specific technical skills.
  • Maintain required certification.
  • Prepare the patient for examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing.
  • Stock and Clean examination rooms.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate medical records.
  • On‑call is a job requirement.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population‑specific needs of the patients served.

Hourly Wage
: $17.00 - $23.59 per hour
