The Role

As a Planner II, you will assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive and land‑development plans to guide both current and long‑range land use in the City. You will review land use applications, assess environmental impacts, and ensure compliance with the City’s Comprehensive Development Plan, municipal code, and state/local regulations. This role includes coordinating long‑term planning efforts (including water, sewer, and transportation) with development review, preparing detailed reports and analyses, and presenting findings to City Council, Planning Commission, and/or the Hearing Examiner.

You’ll also provide technical advice, respond to public inquiries, and support staff and community members through the development review process—all to ensure consistent, high‑quality growth in Pasco. Check out the Full Job Description here

Required

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Geography, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional land use planning, and/or private development experience or similar related experience, including preparation of technical reports and economic data collection.

  • Valid Driver License
