What You Will Do- Act as point person for directing workload with the Project Team as well as making judgment calls on projects that sales should be quoting versus Project Team.
- In coordination with the Sales Manager, aid in the development of new Project Team members regarding the North Coast system and sales procedures. Provide ongoing consultation and guidance.
- Prepare timely and accurate quotes for engineered projects.
- Compile and analyze information from vendors, determining appropriate pricing, using discretion to maximize North Coast profit and success, and providing priced quotes to customers.
- Provide system design for projects per contractor and owner requirements on design/build projects. Offer value‑add services by evaluating blueprints and recommending solutions based on design specs.
- Coordinate with management and account managers regarding pre‑bid quotation strategy and other related pertinent sales and customer information.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information in the job quotes system and perform analysis on hit‑rate reporting.
- Foster and maintain excellent working relationships with North Coast customers and other third parties involved in lighting design work by calling on them and providing regular technical and project support.
- Provide leadership role in promoting fair and honest dealings with suppliers. Manage vendor relationships to benefit North Coast, our customers and the suppliers.
- For secured jobs, coordinate and communicate detailed project needs to Project Sales Specialist – Project Manager to ensure smooth project turnover and timely service to the customer.
- Serve as information centre for technical information and consult with sales team on the proper application of products when applicable.
- Participate in and follow all North Coast policies, guidelines, and procedures (safety, Anti‑Harassment, Ethics, etc).
- 5–7 years in the Electrical industry. Associates should have familiarity with electrical codes and a working knowledge of electrical design processes and techniques. Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, Outlook, and Adobe.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to shift between various projects; excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
- Good understanding of market, competitors, products and services.
- Strong leadership and selling skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic understanding of financial information and effective negotiating skills. Must maintain and provide a positive company image. Committed to 100% accuracy and “Do It Right the First Time” (DIRTFT).
- Excellent record‑keeping and time management.
- Office‑based role with high computer and phone usage.
- Light lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Standard 40‑hour workweek; occasional evenings/weekends based on business needs.
- Reliable on‑site attendance required.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and interruptions.
- This position is an exempt position and not subject to overtime.
- Pay is $85,500 to $109,000 annually, DOE.
