Position: Temporary Bilingual Assessment Specialist
Location: Franklin Elementary / Frost Elementary
Hours: 7.00/day – Monday to Friday
Franklin:
Monday, Tuesday, alternating Wednesdays
Frost:
Alternating Wednesdays, Thursday, Friday
180-day Calendar
Salary: $26.02 – $27.24
$26.65 – $27.89 (Bachelor's Degree)
New hires are conditional upon passing a fingerprint screening.
Qualifications- AA Degree or 2 years at an institution of higher education;
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Bilingual/Biliterate in English/Spanish
- Ability to read, speak, and write both Spanish and English proficiently
- Demonstrated exemplary customer service and responsiveness
- Ability to use a variety of computer software programs
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with staff, students, and patrons
- Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain professional cooperative working relationships
- Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record
- Must work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality
- Demonstrate and model above‑average language skills
- Ability to follow supervisory directions and employ personal initiative when necessary
- Passing score on district‑administered bilingual test
Desired (not required):
- Previous experience coordinating and/or administering state and district required assessments
- Oversee, coordinate, and administer appropriate and/or required testing of students as directed by an administrator.
- Maintain all state, district, school, and program testing documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate regularly with the administrator overseeing building assessments.
- Work flexible hours during peak assessment windows.
- Work in partnership with assessment staff including District Assessment Supervisor, school administration, facilitators, and para educators.
- Distribute appropriate reports and data to staff in a timely manner.
- Attend and participate in the district's monthly facilitator meetings as required.
- Work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality.
- Perform other related duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
