Position located in Pascagoula, MS. The shipyard environment is around the clock and may require working day or night shifts depending on construction schedules. Ingalls builds and maintains ships for the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard and emphasizes safety in all procedures.

An Ingalls Pipe welder is responsible for performing pipe welding procedures on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel pipe using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), also known as TIG welding, and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), also known as stick welding. Additional welding processes such as Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW) may be used. The role may require working at different heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions, with potential for multiple shifts.

The position requires adherence to safety procedures and quality standards in a shipyard environment.

• Minimum of 3 years of pipe welding experience.
• Experience in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/stick welding).

• Mississippi Tech Master Certification.
