The Ultrasound Technologist-Registered performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data. Operates diagnostic equipment and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedures. Secondary duties include clerical duties, receptionist, answering the telephone, scheduling patients, ordering supplies, stocking the department, maintaining filings, and general cleaning.

Assists in the collection of data for COI monitors.

The Ultrasound Technologist-Registered (Float) will be required to work at all SRHS facilities.

• Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasound equipment in various modes and techniques.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available.
• Operate imaging equipment and accurately record pertinent data.
• Perform clerical duties: receptionist tasks, answer phones, schedule patients, and maintain department filings.
• Order supplies and assist with stocking the department; maintain accurate records.
• Assist in data collection for COI monitors.

• Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Ultrasonographers.
• Currently registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists for Sonography.

• Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
• Must complete de-escalation training by the end of position orientation (90 days) and maintain an appropriate level of de-escalation training.

• Previous experience as an Ultrasound Tech preferred.
• Ultrasound Technologist-Registered (Float)/Premium Flex Ultrasound Technologist-Registered:
  Previous experience as an Ultrasound Tech required.

Operations Manager-Radiology

None

• Work is moderately active with movements around the office and facility; travel to other SRHS facilities as needed.
• Exerting a negligible amount of force to move objects and assist patients; repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Exposure to body fluids and potentially infectious materials; use of CRT computer equipment; close visual acuity and focus requirements.
• Ability to be active for extended periods and adapt to schedule changes including weekends.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in complex situations; maintain collaborative relationships.

• Proficiency with computers and office software (keyboard proficient) including MS Outlook and Word.
• Demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment for patients of all ages.
