Palmer Logistics is looking for a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team!
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite. This position plays a crucial role in our daily operations by being the primary interface with our customers, ensuring procedures are followed and customer requirements are met in the processing of their orders. PayRate:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:Account Specialist (CSR) Functions:
- Manage assigned customer accounts and ensure customer requirements are accurately executed.
- Process inbound and outbound orders in alignment with customer expectations and company procedures.
- Communicate with customers with clarity, professionalism, and urgency regarding order status, issues, and resolutions.
- Initiate NCRs (non-conformance reports) to address and prevent product quality or service issues.
- Perform invoicing and rate verification as per contractual terms.
- Maintain accurate inventory reconciliation and raise discrepancies in a timely manner to leadership.
- Address and resolve customer concerns proactively when necessary.
- Support audit readiness and maintain process integrity at all times.
- Schedule and reschedule inbound and outbound shipments ensuring that flow of goods supports customer service expectations and warehouse capacity.
- Maintain real-time visibility on shipping and receiving accuracy with a proactive approach to correcting errors.
- Coordinate rail freight activities when required.
- Report scheduling issues to leadership in a timely manner with proposed solutions.
- Participate in physical inventories and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain full awareness of daily workload and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth execution.
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in logistics/3PL is a plus.
- Flexible work schedule: must be able to come in early, stay late, and/or work weekends depending on operational needs.
- Technical skills with ability to work in multiple warehouse management systems.
- Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
