Palmer Logistics is looking for skilled Forklift Operators to join our dynamic team!
The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and proficient in operating different types of equipment in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials and products. Pay Rate$18.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience and equipment knowledge.
Key Responsibilities- Load, unload, move, and stage product by operating various equipment such as sit-down forklift, reach truck, cherry picker.
- Pull and prepare product for shipping including but not limited to labeling, banding, stretch wrapping, block and brace.
- Verify shipments for accuracy, document and report any discrepancies.
- Utilize RF scanner.
- Follow established company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with warehouse and office personnel to meet productivity goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform daily equipment inspections prior to operation.
- Perform other duties and not limited to just driving a forklift, you will label, band, stretch wrap, clean drums and totes, and restack bags and pails.
- Must have 2
-3 years of forklift experience in a logistics environment. - Flexible work schedule: must be able to come in early, stay late, and/or work weekends depending on operational needs.
- Must be able to work in a congested area(s) and non-climate-controlled warehouse.
- Must have 2
-3 years in handling hazardous material - Must be able to lift 50 lbs, adjust the body to bend, push, pull, stretch, stoop, squat, and grab; walk and sit for extended periods.
- Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
