PT Recreation Attendant - Athletics

Duties

• The Part-Time Recreation Attendant provides support for athletic and recreational programs and activities within City facilities, primarily at Pal Gymnasium; assists with program operations, participant services, facility monitoring, and basic administrative tasks during scheduled evening and weekend hours; helps ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-organized environment for all participants and visitors. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
• Monitors activities within Pal Gymnasium to ensure participant safety, adherence to facility rules, and proper use of equipment.
• Assists with athletic and recreation program registration, including greeting participants, providing information, and completing required documentation.
• Collects program fees, issues receipts, and maintains accurate financial records in accordance with City policies and procedures.
• Keeps score during games and recreational activities as assigned.
• Provides customer service by responding to participant inquiries, addressing concerns, and assisting with general facility needs.
• Records participant complaints or incidents and refers them to the appropriate supervisor or department for follow-up.
• Assists with set-up and clean-up of gymnasium and recreation areas before and after activities and events.
• Enforces facility policies, rules, and safety procedures in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains awareness of emergency procedures and responds appropriately to incidents or safety concerns.
• Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements.
• Works the assigned schedule and complies with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy.

• No prior experience required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• PREFERRED:
  Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Previous experience using computer or registration software.
• General knowledge of basketball, soccer, softball, and volleyball.
• Salary: $12.00 per hour.
