turner industries group is seeking a precision millwright for nested long-term maintenance at a site in the pasadena, tx area. There is no per diem or relocation available for this position - you need to be local to the houston area. The successful candidate will troubleshoot, overhaul, and install rotating equipment, (especially ansi and api centrifugal pumps) including: pumps, compressors, steam turbines, gearboxes, electric motors, fans and blowers.

Previous maintenance experience is required.

• regular 5 8s schedule mon-fri with some overtime
• well-rounded, safety-minded, nccer test required, nccer plus certification preferred.
• must have 4 years minimum work experience as a millwright.
• replace mechanical seals in ansi pumps, as well as overhaul single stage ansi pumps (goulds, durco, etc.)
• align pump to motor using laser alignment tools or dial indicators
• thorough recordkeeping, including recording as-found and as-left clearances after a seal replacement or pump rebuild job
• experience with single stage steam turbine maintenance is a plus.
• background check and drug test required.

installs and/or maintain machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and written instructions in industrial establishments.

reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; dismantles machines; moves machinery and equipment; assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers; aligns machines and equipment using reverse alignment method; assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures; may operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications;

may repair and lubricate machines and equipment; may be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates.

employee may be required to provide the following: tool box, combination wrench set, crescent wrench, combination square, socket wrench, allen wrench set, t-handle allen wrenches, phillips screwdriver, screwdriver, micrometer, precision level, channel lock, dial indicator chains, hammer, ball pein hammer, snap ring pliers, rain suit.
