Turner Industries Group is looking for an experienced Diesel and Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the Houston, TX area. The successful candidate will have a background working on large diesel engines—Cat, Cummins, Detroit—and experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems on heavy equipment such as cranes, dirt‑move machinery, and dump beds. This is a long‑term position based at our campus in Houston.

Responsibilities:
- Enter various petrochemical sites and perform repairs on existing equipment, primarily cranes.
- Perform repair, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on automotive equipment, including trucks, carts, buggies, air compressors, welding machines, cranes, dirt equipment, and trailers.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license to drive a company repair truck.
- Obtain and maintain a TWIC card, pass a background check, and attend HASC training required for facility entry.
- Adhere to safety equipment requirements (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, harness with lanyard, etc.).
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various automotive and heavy equipment.
- Follow supervisor’s instructions and complete additional assignments as directed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- General gasoline and diesel engine knowledge.
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and work independently.
- ASME certification preferred.
- Technical training and/or industrial safety experience.
- Pass post‑offer drug/alcohol screening and physical evaluation.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others.
