Collaborate with physician and Registered Nurses to serve in support role within OR. Responsible for supplies, instrumentation and equipment needed for surgical cases. Proficient in surgical environments as surgical assistant passing instruments and assisting the physician during surgical cases.

What you will do in this role:

The Supervisor coordinates nursing care on the unit through staff assignments, assisting/rounding with physicians, coordinating patient orders, communicating with ancillary departments and assisting staff. Coordinates nursing care for the patient and participates in patient / family education. Works collaboratively with ancillary staff and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Participates in performance improvement activities to improve patient safety and quality of care.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 4 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse with an active license in the state of Texas
• Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree
• 5 years of experience working in the Operating Room preferred
