Events & Donor Relations Manager
Full Time/Exempt: 36‑hour week.
Location:
Hybrid – flexible schedule with required in‑office and community collaboration. Hybrid schedules are subject to change based on program needs, funding requirements, and organizational priorities.
Compensation: $58,000‑$70,000 annually – commensurate with experience.
The Bridge is seeking an Events & Donor Relations Manager to play a key role in advancing the mission of The Bridge Over Troubled Waters by designing meaningful engagement experiences for donors, sponsors, and community partners. This position leads the planning and execution of fundraising and stewardship events, manages donor engagement strategies, and strengthens relationships that sustain and grow philanthropic support.
The role is highly relational and detail‑oriented. It is suited for a proactive professional who thrives on connection, storytelling, and creating experiences that deepen community investment in survivors and their futures.
The Events & Donor Relations Manager plans, coordinates, and executes the annual fundraising event(s), donor appreciation events, and community engagement activities. Responsibilities include managing event timelines, logistics, vendors, budgets, sponsorship fulfillment, and volunteer coordination for events.
In collaboration with the Director of Engagement & Advancement, the Events & Donor Relations Manager cultivates and stewards relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners. Develops and implements donor stewardship strategies (thank‑you touches, recognition, impact updates, etc.). Manages donor communications related to events and engagement opportunities. Tracks event outcomes and donor interactions in Raiser’s Edge NXT to support accurate reporting and relationship management, and supports donor meetings, tours, and cultivation experiences at The Bridge.
In addition, this role represents The Bridge at external community events, networking functions, and partnership opportunities and collaborates across departments to align events and engagement efforts with program impact and organizational priorities.
RequiredSkills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (communications, nonprofit management, marketing, hospitality, or related field), OR
- 2–4 years of experience in events, fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit engagement
- Experience planning and executing successful events and managing multiple timelines
- Proficiency or willingness to learn Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT (Donor CRM)
- Relationship‑oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working occasional evenings and weekends for events
- Must pass criminal background investigation check
- Must pass drug screen
- Must provide and maintain current TX Driver’s License
- Must provide and maintain clean driving record and annually update driving record
- Must provide and maintain current auto liability insurance
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to lift/carry 40 lbs., and ascend/descend stairs in emergency shelter setting.
