Shift: Schedule Monday - Friday 6-4PM Occasional Saturday's if needed.

Description:

Brief summary of the job:
Performs maintenance, repair, and testing of various valves on control valves.

Key Responsibilities Locate and comprehend manufacturer installation and operation manuals for Fisher or Dyna-Flo, Valtek and/or Masoneilan control valves. o Perform inspections to identify necessary corrective actions as authorized. o Assemble, test, and troubleshoot valves and other equipment according to applicable codes and standards. o Install instrumentation/accessories as necessary. o Calibrate measurement equipment in accordance with internal quality procedures. o Measure and record critical dimensions per manufacturer specifications.

o Lead assigned area teams as required. Required

Skills and Qualifications o

Experience with Fisher or Dyna-Flo, Valtek and/or Masoneilan control valves is essential. o

Education and Experience:

o A high school education or equivalent is preferred. o

Skills and Abilities:

o Successful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization Procedures. o Ability to properly assemble and test valves/equipment from multiple control valve manufacturers. o Proficient use of precision dimensional equipment. o Ability to bend and fit tubing. o Effective communication skills. o Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. o Cleared background check and drug/alcohol screening. A Fisher control valve technician is responsible for mechanically and electrically troubleshooting, inspecting, and testing valves.

They perform pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, machining, lapping, painting, assembly, testing, and final inspection on various types of valves and actuation. The technician also performs complete over-haul and testing of all manufacturers' control valves, actuators, and positioners. They locate, use, and comprehend manufacturer installation and operation manuals, and assemble, test, and troubleshoot valves and other equipment per applicable codes and standards.
