Responsibilities

  • Run mechanical hoppers and grinding operations, including routine cleaning of equipment.
  • Operate in the work areas in conformance to CGMP Q7A operating procedures and requirements.
  • Receive packaging supplies into storage area.
  • Inspect packaging supplies for defects and reject unsatisfactory material; maintain records of inspections and rejections.
  • Fill packages to desired weight and check weigh each package.
  • Carefully clean all packages.
  • Sample final product packages according to SOP and deliver samples to QC/QA.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in packaging area, including cleaning work areas following packaging each lot.
  • Move containers and carts containing multiple packages from one area of operation to another.
  • Maintain quarantine and approved areas for material.
  • Prepare shipments and load material for orders.
  • Prepare samples for customers.
  • Work safely in all activities; follow all plant safety policies and procedures; encourage fellow employees in maintaining safe operations and a safe workplace; report and help to correct any violations of plant safety policies.
  • Follow all plant security policies; always protect confidential company information.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs as directed by supervision.
  • Participate in investigation of any process deviations, upsets, or unintended events as requested by supervision.
  • Maintain production records in MES system.
  • Scan all finished product movement in MES system.
  • Print and distribute Bill of Ladings according to SOP.
  • Inspect, accept/reject trucks and trailers for CGMP compliance.
  • Perform cycle count and physical inventories as scheduled.
  • Back fill for Utility Operator and Receiving Operator positions as needed; see the appropriate job descriptions for the details.
  • Work overtime as needed to maintain plant operations.

Education
  • High School or better.
Preferred Experience
  • Packaging or shipping in a CGMP environment.
