Formulation Chemist

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Formulator to join our Pasadena, TX operations team. This role is responsible for efficiently formulating products while ensuring compliance with ERP systems, manufacturing instructions, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, accuracy, and consistency to help meet customer demands on time.

• Operate and maintain equipment including tanks, boilers, hot rooms, bead mills, meters, ventilation systems, mixers, and blenders
• Monitor mix times, pump speeds, temperatures, and sampling processes to ensure high-quality, defect-free products
• Perform proper start-up and shut-down procedures following all manufacturing and safety guidelines
• Maintain accurate and legible documentation for batch sheets, waste tracking, and returned raw materials
• Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance/Control standards (ISO and manufacturing procedures)
• Follow all safety and regulatory policies (OSHA, EPA, DOT, and site-specific guidelines)
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment to prevent contamination and injury
• Demonstrate knowledge of raw materials, active ingredients, and their safety requirements
• Meet production schedules and performance metrics while maintaining QHSE standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Minimum 2 years of production formulation experience
• Basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
• Ability to execute complex assignments and problem-solve effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer skills (ERP systems and Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work seasonal day/night shifts as required

• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands
• Must be able to talk and hear clearly in a production environment
• Ability to perform physical tasks consistent with manufacturing operations

• Primarily local travel during business hours; occasional out-of-area or overnight travel may be required
