Overview
Aurorium is seeking a Chemical Operator to operate assigned equipment or areas of the plant and perform operations related activities per the work process. Use chemical manufacturing knowledge and experience to operate and troubleshoot the plant in a safe and efficient manner, in a team environment where priorities are set and work is completed with minimal supervision. Work schedule is 12 hour, rotating shifts.

- Monitors process conditions, equipment and control systems to maximize production and product quality
- Performs tasks assigned to operations per procedures, including field checks, sampling, equipment preparation and lineups
- Performs routine tasks that require the capability to lift 50 lb bags or equivalent
- Ensures operational activities and process performance align with plant and business goals
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements
- Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
- Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times
- Active participation in continuous improvement activities
- Participates in problem-solving
- Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business
- Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members
- Exercises autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidance
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to read, understand and follow operating and safety procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills, computer literacy, mechanical aptitude, and mathematical abilities
