How the Role fits In

Directly supervise and provide technical direction to assigned personnel in the planning, scheduling and execution of all routine maintenance and corrective repairs, special maintenance, plant projects, and capital projects within assigned area. Ensure effective and cost effective work execution through proper scope development and advance identification of required manpower, labor hours, tools, equipment, and materials.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities SHE Stewardship

Maintain safety as the highest priority and abide by all INEOS safety policies and procedures.

Understand and promote the INEOS “20 Principles of Safety”, assuring that personnel are aware of safe working practices and promote the safety concepts of “Coaching for Safety” and “Stop Work”.

Promote safety and safe actions through communication such as discussing safety with employees/contractors before job task, during meetings, and as opportunities arise to promote safety to the fullest extent possible.

Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulatory requirements and strive to meet internal SHE objectives.

Ensure completion of own and direct subordinate training requirements as outlined in the annual training schedule.

Work Duties

Develop and maintain procedures as needed to comply with facility maintenance, ISO 9000, and Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations.

Maintain department within budget within area of responsibility including labor, materials, and contracted services, ensuring cost‑effective execution of work.

Plan and implement for employee training in job-related tasks to the extent that operational efficiency is maintained and improved.

Directly supervise and provide technical leadership to the I&E maintenance team, including troubleshooting support for instrumentation, controls, power distribution and DCS related issues.

Determine job sequence and priority in coordination with production, maintenance supervisors, and planner/schedulers to support production needs and minimize downtime.

Develop detailed job plan for I&E work orders including scope definition, required tools, test equipment, permits, materials, estimated labor hours and safety consideration.

Coordinate maintenance in the production unit area with production personnel and personnel within the Engineering Department.

Organize, formulate and prepare work schedules to limit unit shutdown requirements.

Coordinate contract maintenance to accomplish the assigned work within established time frames and contract agreements.

Provide Production and Engineering with accurate labor and material estimates through use of established time standards and job knowledge.

Update and review computer data within the CMMS system on a daily basis to ensure accurate work order management and backlog information.

Skills & Knowledge Required Education/Experience

Preferred training and experience for the incumbent includes 2 years formal training in a technical skill (instrumentation, electrical or mechanical).

5 - 7 years’ experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of related industrial equipment.

2 years of direct supervisory experience and demonstrated proficiency in industry‑wide and plant‑specific safety, equipment repair, work process planning, piping and instrumentation layout, and personnel management techniques and procedures.

The use of the following office equipment will be required:
Personal computer, calculator, multi‑line telephone, copier, printer, scanner, fax.
