Job Description Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical systems for both new construction and renovation projects, with a focus on mission-critical facilities. This role involves managing multi-discipline projects, ensuring high-quality, code-compliant designs, and providing technical leadership to the electrical engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in system design, project coordination, and client collaboration to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the electrical discipline on assigned projects, ensuring design accuracy, quality, and adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Collaborate with clients to identify project goals, constraints, and success criteria.
- Develop innovative and practical design solutions, weighing performance, cost, and implementation considerations.
- Produce and review design documentation, including conceptual designs, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, and energy modeling.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure a fully integrated and constructable design.
- Oversee client expectations, providing clear and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as the Owner’s representative during construction phases, reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site inspections.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers to develop their technical expertise and leadership skills.
- Experience: 6+ years in the MEP industry, with significant experience in electrical system design.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or higher).
- Licensing: Professional Engineering License (or the ability to obtain in the near future).
- Proven track record leading multi-discipline project teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Revit and other electrical design software.
- Experience with mission-critical facility projects.
- Commitment to delivering innovative and community-focused engineering solutions.
