We are seeking a Product Stewardship – Customer Support professional to join our Technology & Sustainability team in Tarragona, Spain, serving as a critical link between regulatory expertise and customer excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective and compliant communication with Clariant customers regarding chemical regulatory questions about products
  • Conduct regulatory compliance checks for all information provided to customers, ensuring accuracy and legal conformity
  • Maintain comprehensive traceability of customer requests and responses for audit and quality purposes
  • Coordinate with Product Stewardship specialists to route complex questions requiring specific expert knowledge
  • Actively contribute to best practice exchanges and process optimization initiatives with peers across EMEA and global regions (NORAM, LATAM, APAC)
  • Liaise with Product Stewardship Business Partners and Business Unit functions (including Product Managers) to optimize product data information flow
  • Serve as the go‑to person for operational regulatory questions for the Care Chemicals business unit in EMEA
  • Retrieve and assess regulatory data from various internal and external sources to support customer inquiries
  • Issue legally binding regulatory statements based on thorough analysis of complex chemical regulatory contexts
  • Drive continuous improvement of customer request handling processes and response quality
  • Support the development and implementation of regulatory communication standards and guidelines
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure seamless information flow between regulatory, commercial, and technical teams
Requirements
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or comparable technical/scientific education, OR extensive long‑term experience in the chemical industry
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a technical role or support role; background in chemicals and/or customer support is highly valued
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to grasp complex interrelationships
  • Knowledge of chemical regulations (REACH, CLP, and other relevant EMEA regulatory frameworks) or willingness to develop expertise through training
  • Proficiency in SAP systems for data retrieval and management, or ability to learn quickly
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional European languages are an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulatory and technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Structured thinking and systematic approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making
  • High level of independence and self‑management capabilities with strong accountability
  • Decisiveness and resilience when handling challenging regulatory situations and customer expectations
  • Customer‑focused mindset with commitment to delivering accurate and timely responses
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new processes, products, and regulatory requirements
