Teaching Certified Nurse Aide related course work.

Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course.

A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes. Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.

Required Qualifications:

• At leastone (1) years of professional experience directly related to CNA experience.
• At least one (1) year of experience as a licensed nurse providing direct patient care in a long-term care facility supervising Certified Nurse Aides.
• Current, valid Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse license.
• Current Texas driver's license.
• Have AHA CPR card and current negative TB test.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree (or higher level degree) in healthcare or a related field.

Salary Grade:AH
