PT Pooled Aquatics; Concession Cashier

Duties:

The cashier is responsible for operating the cash register and assisting with the collection of all concession payments on a daily basis as well as serving the general public. This position is responsible for accepting and reporting any revenue generated by the concession area ran by the City of Pasadena. The Concession Cashier will serve as the primary customer service representative and will input orders to be prepared by the Food Preparer.

This position requires in-depth communication and customer service skills. The Concession Cashier position is a seasonal position with the City of Pasadena Parks & Recreation Department. Employee will provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service to all customers (internal & external). Greets customers and processes cash transactions. Answer customer inquiries. Assists Food Manager and Food Preparers with opening and closing procedures.

Handles any questions or concerns customers may have and directs to appropriate staff member, if unable to answer or satisfy customer/patron. Responsible for supplies needed to perform duties at assigned station. Clean and sanitize food preparation equipment according to Safe Food Handling Practices. Maintain proper personal hygiene during preparation of food. Ensure facilities are in compliance with Safe Food Handling Practices to Health Inspectors.

Shall perform all other related duties as assigned. Will prepare fountain drinks, hand customers prepared food and ready to eat items.

Display customer service with greetings, surveys, and acknowledgments. Handle customer concerns promptly and provide feedback to ensure customer satisfaction.

May work up to a 40-hour week. Concession workers will be at Strawberry Pool. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Works the assigned schedule and complies with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy.
