Levindale Hospital is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager to oversee Hall 1, a dynamic geriatric care unit within our respected post-acute rehabilitation hospital. This is an opportunity to lead high-performing teams, shape clinical excellence, and make a daily impact on the lives of older adults.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing – Long-Term Care & Geriatric Center, you’ll serve as a clinical leader, mentor, and resource—championing safe, age-appropriate, person-centered care while fostering a positive, engaged team culture.

The Unit You’ll Lead

Hall 1 – Subacute / Skilled Nursing & Rehab
A fast-paced environment caring for patients recovering from surgery, stroke, cardiac events, and complex medical conditions, including high-volume wound care and ambulatory rehab.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead by example as a visible, supportive presence on the units

  • Supervise and mentor the Assistant Nurse Manager and nursing staff

  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of safety

Operations & Staffing

  • Ensure appropriate staffing, efficient workflows, and fiscal responsibility

  • Support departmental goals and budget alignment

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Oversee compliance with Joint Commission, CARF, CMS, and National Patient Safety Goals

  • Monitor outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives

Staff Growth & Performance

  • Coach RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support staff

  • Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development

Collaborative Care

  • Partner with physicians, therapists, case managers, and families to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care

What You Bring
  • Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
    BSN and national certification (GERO-BC, RN-BC, etc.) preferred

  • 5–7 years of Long-Term Care nursing experience, including leadership

  • Active Maryland RN license

  • BLS/CPR certification (AHA)

  • Strong knowledge of geriatric, subacute, rehab, or memory care nursing
