This contract opportunity spans the current school year with the potential for extension into Extended School Year (ESY) services in July 2026. The role offers a unique chance to provide vital speech-language support across various age groups, from preschool through middle school, enhancing student communication skills in inclusive, supportive environments.
Responsibilities- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students ranging from early childhood to middle school levels.
- Provide itinerant services at community preschool locations and on-site support at elementary and middle schools.
- Supervise and collaborate with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-A) to support student outcomes, particularly at the secondary level.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
- Active Maryland Professional SLP licensure (CCC required).
- Experience working with preschool, elementary, and secondary students.
- Ability to travel between multiple school locations within the Baltimore area.
- Proven skills in supervising SLP-A personnel and fostering collaborative team environments.
- Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to student-centered care.
- Positions available for full-time (37.5 hrs/week, Monday to Friday) and part-time (30 hrs/week, Monday to Thursday with potential for Friday).
- Assignments vary from community preschool itinerant positions to fixed placements at Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, and Aberdeen Middle School.
