Embedded Software Engineer Job Description
As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of software, primarily using C, within embedded applications for the space industry.
Responsibilities- Design and develop embedded software solutions using C from scratch.
- Implement firmware and software for embedded systems.
- Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure a hands‑on impact on products destined for space.
- Work within regulated environments such as Aerospace, Defense, Space, Medical Devices, or Automotive industries.
- Utilize tools such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes for software development.
- Proficiency in embedded C programming.
- Experience with various types of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), preferably FreeRTOS.
- Ability to develop C code from scratch.
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded applications development.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Python is preferred.
- Experience using logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
You will support Artemis and other space programs, working directly with primes such as Northrop Grumman. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with various engineering disciplines and have a direct impact on products going to space.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 – $75.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
