QualificationsReporting to the SOC Director, the Supervisor will lead a team of SOC Analysts in the day‑to‑day operations of the organization's headquarters SOC, located in Pasadena, CA.
Primary Responsibilities- Supervise all personnel in the SOC.
- Supervise the day‑to‑day SOC operations.
- Implement project plans developed by the SOC Director for key strategic initiatives designed to improve operations capabilities and responsiveness across the organization.
- Keep the SOC Director apprised of contract performance by accurately communicating status of compliance and identifying any deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Compile productivity and performance SLAs, KPIs and dashboard reports to ensure metrics are captured and reported for executive‑level consumption.
- Supervise the effective implementation of Standard Operating Procedures, Post Orders and similar directives.
- Respond to all communication requests.
- Coordinate with the SOC Director to provide information regarding security, life‑safety and other incidents.
- Supervise the effective implementation of incident notification protocols. Monitor CCTV feeds and notify appropriate stakeholders during non‑routine events.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and other first responders during incidents.
- Liaise with external stakeholders to provide incident notification during events.
- Ensure the correct deployment and operation of security systems including CCTV, access control and other various technologies.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in security control centers (GSOC/SOC).
- Direct supervisory responsibility of at least five direct reports.
- Experience in security operations at a high‑throughput facility.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to support first responders as directed.
- Ability to supervise staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient understanding of security and building management systems.
- Proficient understanding of CCTV video management systems.
- Proficient understanding of access control systems.
- Proficient in generating incident reports and conducting briefings.
- Experience related to security, law enforcement or intelligence information gathering and interpretation is desired.
- Highly organized and available during off‑hours, weekends, etc.
- Professional and reliable demeanor.
- Courteous, customer‑service orientation required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technologically savvy – experienced with MS Office Suite; working knowledge of technology‑driven scheduling platforms a plus.
- Adept at leading teams in complex problem solving.
- Customer‑service orientation required.
- Ability to interact in a corporate environment and effectively communicate with all levels of management.
- Flexible and able to meet deadlines in a high‑tempo environment.
