Produce Associate

Overview

Produce Associate at Erewhon in Pasadena, CA. $19 ‒ $25 hourly. This is a part-time, entry-level role in the Produce department.

• Follow established produce departmental procedures for receiving merchandise, including inspecting the product when delivered, pricing, and restocking cases to ensure freshness and quality, accuracy, and product rotation.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensure a fresh and appealing produce display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, front-facing, checking codes, rotating, and removing out-of-date products.
• Maintain accurate produce department signage and pricing.
• Stock and clean produce shelves and displays.
• Maintain produce back stock in good order.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized working and shopping environment.
• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Previous experience in the produce department and stocking/care of organic produce products preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to consistently lift 35–50 lbs, unaided.

• $19 - $25 / hour (based on experience)
