Job Summary and Expectations

Ensure a constant and adequate supply of ingredients prepared according to company specifications and local health regulations; assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Essential Functions

Prepare meats, fish, and vegetables for cooking, following specifications for size, quantity, and recipe, using appropriate kitchen tools.

Marinate meats and ingredients as per recipes and procedures.

Ensure all food ingredients are prepared safely and hygienically, adhering to health regulations.

Keep the cold table stocked with ingredients.

Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces and equipment.

Lift and carry food containers between storage, workstations, and counters.

Perform additional kitchen duties, including lifting, cleaning, and assisting other staff.

Support the dishwasher during peak times and replenish spices at the cook's station.

Assist in receiving procedures, checking samples for freshness and quality, and storing containers properly.

Job Requirements

Lift and carry up to 50 lbs; stand for up to 5 hours; reach at least 36 inches horizontally and vertically.
Perform repetitive cutting/slicing safely and quickly using a Chinese cook's knife.
Maintain good personal hygiene at all times.
Follow instructions accurately and work under supervision.
Respond quickly to instructions, especially during busy periods.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $20 - $23 per hour, based on experience and location.
