If you are a Machinist looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you based in Pasadena, TX! You will be responsible for fabricating Fisher OEM control valve parts using a variety of machining techniques and equipment and repairing parts from the field, returning them to OEM specifications. You must be familiar with manual and CNC lathe and mill operations.
Safety and quality of work are key components to this position.
Schedule:
2nd Shift – Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
- Be responsible for personal safety and for the safety of others while maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.
- Set‑up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensions.
- Cross‑train on all machines to prevent lapses in production flow, including engine lathes, manual drills, horizontal bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC mills.
- Understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements, and machining techniques.
- Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawings.
- Provide potential field assignments using in‑line machine; some travel may be required.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations.
You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations, effectively communicate in various settings, and stay productive to align with company goals.
For This Role, You Will Need:- Mechanical-related associate’s degree or 7+ years of experience with machining and fabricating.
- Minimum 5 years of full‑cycle machining experience, including programming, setup, and operation of machines.
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAM (Master Cam) and Solid Works modeling.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer‑relations skills are a must.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Welding knowledge preferred.
- Experience in the process control industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process‑related problems is strongly preferred.
