Job Description
Schedule:
Monday & Friday 10am - 6:30pm and Tuesday - Thursday 1:30pm - 10pm. Velociti Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public places such as break rooms.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use.
- Before beginning work, secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users.
- Care for floors, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
- Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery.
- Wall cleaning and dusting (high and low).
- Routine restroom, office, and break room cleaning.
- Maintenance of floor care equipment.
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Work as part of a team and follow directions from the lead, supervisor, or district/manager as appropriate.
- Present a professional appearance and conduct; understand customer service and reporting systems.
- Instill trust and support the shift lead in completing punch-list items; understand customer satisfaction and the environment.
- A solid commitment to the guest experience.
- Always remember safety first.
- Build respectful relationships with all teammates and guests.
- Coordinate activities with other internal departments; take directions from the Facility Manager, Key Account Manager, or District Manager.
- Participate in team meetings.
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Minimum 1 year experience in floor care.
- Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance.
- Knowledge and experience operating equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
- Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred.
- Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.
