SummaryThe Recruiter performs duties at the professional level in the following functional areas: full‑cycle recruitment and all associated activities and responsibilities to execute the recruiting function for BYD North America. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization and must be sensitive to corporate and business needs while maintaining employee goodwill and confidentiality.

Responsibilities- Lead full‑cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, posting, evaluating resumes, pre‑screening applicants, scheduling, interviewing, assessing, evaluating skills, negotiating compensation, closing packages, editing job descriptions, performing reference checks and processing related paperwork.
- Perform searches for qualified candidates using databases, ATS, networking, internet recruiting resources, job fairs, recruiting firms, community outreach, or employee referrals.
- Interview applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills.
- Inform applicants of details such as duties, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities.
- Select qualified applicants or refer them to managers and make hiring recommendations when appropriate.
- Contact applicants and answer all questions regarding the status of their applications.
- Support an exemplary candidate experience at every stage of the process.
- Strategize ways to build talent pipelines and execute research, referral generation, events, and sourcing campaigns to meet staffing requirements.
- Maintain and nurture a pipeline of leads and identify future opportunities that align with their experiences and interests.
- Consult with managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives, and develop or implement recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs.
- Evaluate, develop or enhance selection or testing techniques by conducting research and follow‑up activities in consultation with management.
- Maintain complete records of interviews and new hires, and provide updates to management regarding candidate status.
- Assist with new employee orientations.
- Analyze employment‑related data and prepare and present required reports, including open requisitions, turnover rates, and time to fill.
- Develop and implement recruiting or retention programs in collaboration with management.
- Advise managers on interviewing best practices, including fair and legal interview techniques and effective candidate rating or interview forms.
- Maintain current knowledge of job market and human resources trends.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant employment law, EEO and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Personal Effectiveness/Credibility and Confidentiality. - Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations, and negotiation.
- Proficiency in ATS, HRIS and other recruitment technology and online recruiting platforms.
- Understanding of administrative and office procedures and systems such as Microsoft Office suite, file and record management, form creation and workplace terminology.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, organizing and coordinating people and resources.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
