MRI Tech Per Diem

• Under limited supervision and as assigned by Area Coordinator, to produce images for medical diagnosis.
• Position patients and adjust for proper exposure; record pertinent information pertaining to the production of the images.
• Maintain assigned work area in a neat and orderly condition; use of computer.
• Be able to take on-call for patients requiring emergency procedures and have flexibility in hours as needed.

Graduate of an accredited Radiology or MRI program

Minimum 3 years experience as an MRI Technologist in an acute care setting.

• Required:
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT)
  • Current Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) issued by California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and/or CRT Fluoroscopy Permit issued by CDPH if performing CT exams
  • Current Venipuncture Certification issued by CSRT
  • Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
• Preferred:
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Certification issued by ARRT

Knowledge of computers, anatomy and physiology, imaging equipment, safety hazards common to imaging equipment used, body mechanics, isolation procedure and body fluid precautions.

• Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $52.84 - $75.46. Additional compensation may be available through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc.
