Housekeeper / Laundry Aide at Front Porch Communities & Services
Base pay: $19.00/hr – $20.00/hr (full‑time, Monday‑Friday 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., some Saturdays)
SummaryUnder the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor / Assistant Supervisor, perform housekeeping and cleaning duties within established guidelines in assigned areas. Responsible for a neat and clean appearance of residents’ rooms and common areas.
Detailed Responsibilities- Provide quality customer service to residents, families, co‑workers, and vendors.
- Dust furniture, wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
- Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, and hallways; rearrange small furniture if needed.
- Sweep, scrub, and wax floors.
- Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays, transport trash and waste to disposal area.
- Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, elevator landings, stairways, and hallways as scheduled.
- Report equipment, structure, or furniture issues; complete maintenance or housekeeping orders as necessary.
- Assist with laundry and linens; perform all stages of linen processing (collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, unloading, ironing, folding, storing, delivering).
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and area.
- Perform emergency housekeeping when accidents or special needs arise.
- Follow departmental safety standards, body mechanics, and campus‑wide safety programs.
- Adhere to federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and guidelines.
- Wear PPE or safety equipment as required; report hazards or accidents.
- Attend mandatory in‑service meetings; comply with all policies and procedures.
- Contribute to safety initiatives by following safe work habits.
- High school diploma or GED.
Relevant experience with housekeeping or laundry services is preferred.
