Help create a brighter, stronger future for the children we serve at Shriners Children’s Southern California (SCSC). We are a family‑centered, pediatric subspecialty Ambulatory Surgical Center located in Pasadena, providing complex care for children with orthopedic conditions.

This is a per‑diem, non‑exempt position. The pay range for this position is $24.23 – $34.20 per hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

All employees are eligible for medical coverage on their first day. Upon hire all employees are eligible for a 403(b) and Roth 403(b) Retirement Saving Plan with matching contributions of up to 6% after one year of service. Employees in a FT or PT status (40+ hours per pay period) will also be eligible for paid time off, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, and the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) plans and a Health Savings Account (HSA) if a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) is elected.

• Demonstrates basic knowledge of the principles of asepsis, infection control, and standard precautions.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge and principles of sterilization.
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory and supplies.
• Serves as liaison between the OR and CS, providing supplies, instruments, and case carts.

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT).
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
• 1+ year of hospital experience.
