About the role

Alpha Hormones® is a premier hormone therapy and regenerative medicine clinic based in Los Angeles. We’re seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (Full‑Time) to join our on‑site clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, compassionate professional who is proficient in clinical support and has at least 3 years of hands‑on phlebotomy experience. You will play a critical role in supporting patient wellness through hormone therapy, lab services, and regenerative treatments.

What

you’ll do
  • Work on‑site at the clinic and provide comprehensive front and back office support
  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
  • Answer inbound calls and assist with outbound campaigns (marketing, lead follow‑up)
  • Perform patient intake, vital signs, rooming, and prepping for procedures
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection (minimum 3 years of experience required)
  • Assist with musculoskeletal (MSK) injections and hormone pellet procedures
  • Verify insurance eligibility (PPO and Medicare) using appropriate portals
  • Update and maintain accurate patient demographics, insurance info, and medical documentation in EMR
  • Schedule appointments and follow‑ups, prepare patient charts for next‑day visits
  • Collect co‑pays, process credit card/electronic payments, and send receipts
  • Balance daily batches and generate end‑of‑day financial reports
  • Support telehealth/video visit operations and assist with virtual workflows
  • Assist with administrative tasks, marketing initiatives, and CRM system updates
  • Ensure compliance with clinic policies, HIPAA, and OSHA safety standards
Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (Required)
  • Strong front and back office skills, including rooming, injections, and specimen handling
  • Medical billing knowledge and experience with PPO and Medicare insurance (Highly Preferred)
  • Experience with CRM systems, marketing campaigns, or medical office admin (Preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and dedication to exceptional patient service
  • Familiarity with major insurance plans, Medicare coverage, and EMR charting
  • Strong computer proficiency: video conferencing, online portals, and fast typing (≥45 WPM)
  • Dependable, energetic, and flexible team player
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and Saturdays if needed
  • California residents only – must be able to commute to our clinic location
