Job Title: X-Ray Technician/MA

Reports To: Center Manager

Base pay range: $32.00/hr - $33.00/hr

The X-Ray Technician/MA will be responsible for assisting in examination and treatment of patients under direction of the Physician.

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, including pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height; record information on patient’s chart
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Drape patient with coverings, and position instruments and equipment
• Hand instruments and materials to doctor, as directed
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials
• Operates X-ray, electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests, or calls medical facility or department to schedule patient tests
• Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests
• Inputs data into computer to maintain office and patient records

• Must have a current X-Ray Technician Limited Permit issued by the California Department of Public Health (expanded scope is ideal – to include digital radiography, chest, extremities, and torso‑skeletal)
• Must be Medical Assistant certified
• Must have prior experience performing EKGs, blood drawing, vital signs and IM injections
• Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced work environment
• Must have a neat and professional appearance
• Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills

• Center‑Based. Requires working in a clinical setting. The noise level is moderate and there is potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood‑borne pathogens. Ability to stand and sit for hours at a time, with some bending and stooping, use manual dexterity in clinical requirements, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Travel – up to 5%
