Financial Reporting Lead

I’m partnering with a leading financial services organization to hire a Financial Reporting Lead supporting SEC reporting and external financial disclosures.

This role sits within a complex banking environment and offers meaningful ownership across SEC filings, technical accounting, regulatory reporting, and audit support. It’s a strong opportunity for someone coming from public accounting and/or SEC reporting who wants broader exposure and impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare and review SEC filings, consolidated financial statements, and related disclosures
  • Perform monthly consolidated financial statement variance analysis for management
  • Review inputs from internal teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with SEC and non‑GAAP requirements
  • Monitor new accounting and financial reporting tools and recommend process improvements
  • Stay current on new and proposed guidance from the FASB, SEC, and other regulators
  • Analyze new accounting standards and support implementation efforts
  • Support external audits, including financial statement and footnote disclosures
  • Prepare reporting schedules for internal stakeholders and auditors
  • Contribute to special projects focused on enhancing reporting processes and controls
What They’re Looking For
  • 4–6 years of experience in public accounting and/or SEC reporting
  • Strong U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting knowledge
  • Banking or financial services experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to communicate complex accounting topics clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and research skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through
  • Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset
Education & Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
