Location:
This internship role is scheduled to be flexible. Please be prepared to spend part of your time working remotely and part of your time working from the following location: 98 S Los Robles Ave, Pasadena CA, 91101.
The Office of Student Engagement support students in becoming their best selves while creating an inclusive community that allows them to thrive. We do this by helping them to develop the skills to:
- Create and maintain positive relationships
- Reflect on their identities and how they make meaning of their experiences
- Make professional connections with mentors, faculty, and physicians
- Prioritize their well-being while developing strategies to navigate life's challenges
- Identify and prepare for the achievement of their goals
- Serve as leaders who contribute to a positive social and learning environment
Areas of responsibility that fall within the Office of Student Engagement include but are not limited to:
Inclusion & Well-Being Initiatives, Learning Communities, Mentorship Programs, Student Council, Student Organizations, Student Programming, and more.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training materials for student organizations and councils.
- Support event logistics and setup for student engagement programs and initiatives.
- Design marketing materials and flyer templates for the Office of Student Engagement and student organizations.
- Update and maintain SharePoint sites and digital resources for students to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
- Assist with assessment and evaluation efforts for student engagement programs.
- Contribute to a well-being initiative focused on enhancing student life and inclusion.
- Collect and update data for student organization inventories in the Engage (student organization) platform.
- Migrate historical data from SharePoint into Engage (our student organization platform) to improve access to legacy information.

Additional Requirements- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- 3.0 GPA or above
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
