Summer Prog Health Clerk

For over 23 years, the Pasadena Educational Foundation’s Summer Enrichment Program has offered educational opportunities that are fun & creative, build critical thinking skills, and promote personal growth for students. We are looking for dedicated individuals who have a passion for working in a school environment.

Every staff person plays a critical role in the program by providing a safe, fun, engaging, and high-quality experience for our students. Interested applicants should value the role of education in a young person's life.

PEF plans to offer morning and afternoon programs to support students all day. Both Morning (AM) and Afternoon (PM) shifts are available, and candidates can request either one or both shifts.

Health Clerks will report to the Site Coordinator(s) on the campus they are assigned to. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: helping students with health conditions, accidents, and emergencies; logging student visits to the health office; communicating with parents/guardians about student health needs; administering medication based on doctor’s orders; and other duties as needed and assigned by the Site Coordinator.

• Prior employment by PEF does not guarantee a position for the 2025 summer program.
• The time commitment of a health clerk is approximately 5 hours per shift (either AM or PM). Health clerks who work all day will have a combined AM/PM shift of approximately 9-10 hours. All shifts are Monday through Thursday, June 15 through July 16, 2026 (exact dates and times TBD).
• Hiring preference will be given to those who can commit to working every day of the program.
• While we try to match candidates to their preferred campus and/or area of interest, we reserve the right to place as needed.
• Employment is dependent upon verification and timely completion, before the program starts, of all mandated payroll tax (W-4, DE4) and employment eligibility (I-9) forms, and a background check.
• This is a temporary, part-time position that does not include paid time off or any benefits.

All applicants will receive a response by the end of March 2025. Interviews will be conducted online via Google Meet or Zoom. Not everyone who applies will be interviewed.
