Role Description

Pacific Oaks College is seeking a full-time Department Chair for Early Childhood Education at its on-site campus in Pasadena, CA. The Department Chair will provide academic leadership, oversee program curriculum, and ensure alignment with institutional and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include managing faculty, fostering a collaborative environment, developing innovative educational initiatives, and engaging in student mentorship. The Department Chair will represent the department in organizational planning, facilitate program assessment, and help shape the strategic vision of the Early Childhood Education department.

Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in Early Childhood Education with proficiency in curriculum development and program assessment
  • Experience in academic administration, personnel management, and fostering a collaborative teaching environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • A master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required; a doctoral degree is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with accreditation processes and standards in higher education
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education
  • Ability to work on-site in Pasadena, CA, and contribute to the academic vision of the college
