About the JobWe’re looking for a creative and knowledgeable Video Editor to edit and deliver vertical series episodes for the Drama Box app. In this role, you’ll bring expertise in current English-language vertical drama trends, ensuring our content reflects the latest market shifts and resonates with audiences.

Key Responsibilities- Edit full episodes and trailers for the Drama Box app, delivering engaging, emotionally-driven content optimized for vertical viewing.
- Cut with a focus on pacing, clarity, and impact — getting to the point quickly and leading visually.
- Mix sound internally using company-provided AI tools, ensuring dialogue, music, VO, and SFX are balanced and clear.
- Create and format subtitles directly in the timeline using AI-assisted tools, with attention to timing and readability.
- Export final episodes in 1080x1920 vertical format (.mp4) with clean stereo mixes and no burn-in subtitles.
- Manage VFX and color workflows, including turnovers, applying final elements, and mastering reels using 2K proxies.
- Conduct initial QC, checking audio sync, subtitle accuracy, cut flow, and final output quality.
- Review and provide feedback on video drafts as needed.
- Stay current on trends in vertical content and short-form storytelling to continuously improve output.
- Collaborate with production and post teams across multiple time zones, maintaining open and timely communication.
- Ensure all content aligns with Drama Box’s brand, tone, and creative direction.

- Bachelor’s degree in film, animation, visual effects, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated experience editing vertical series or short-form video, ideally for social media or mobile-first platforms.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve (plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to high-quality standards.
- Knowledge of social media platforms such as You Tube, Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok.
- A keen eye for pairing music with storytelling to enhance viewer engagement.
- Startup or high-growth environment experience is an asset.
- Help shape the visual style of one of the fastest-growing mobile entertainment platforms.
