RoleSummary
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market penetration, and building long-term customer relationships within a designated territory. This individual will develop and execute strategic sales plans, manage complex sales cycles, and serve as a trusted partner to customers navigating the transition to electric school buses.
Key Responsibilities- Meet or exceed sales targets within the assigned region or market.
- Develop new business opportunities while expanding and managing an existing account portfolio.
- Create and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze market conditions, customer preferences, regulatory developments, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and risks.
- Build strong relationships with school districts, contractors, government agencies, dealers, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead sales efforts from initial engagement through contract negotiation and close.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, operations, and leadership teams to align customer needs with company initiatives.
- Support proposal development, contract management, pricing strategy, and promotional initiatives.
- Represent RIDE at industry conferences, trade shows, and association meetings.
- Track performance, analyze data, and provide regular reporting and insights to leadership.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate multiple solutions.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage a large territory.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience.
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Prior experience in school bus, EV, or transportation-related sales preferred.
- Knowledge of the EV school bus market, OEMs, incentives, and regulatory landscape is a strong plus.
- Experience developing sales strategies, delivering product demonstrations, and managing complex sales cycles.
- Demonstrated success negotiating contracts and influencing decision-makers.
- Strong analytical skills with experience generating and interpreting reports.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the U.S. to support customers and attend industry events.
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThis role operates in a professional office environment and frequently involves travel. Standard office equipment is used regularly. Compensation- Salary Range: $100,000 – $140,000 (commensurate with experience)
