Position SummaryThis role is vital in supporting key HR functions including recruitment, hiring, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance with FMLA and licensure/certification requirements, and promoting a positive employee experience throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Recruitment & Hiring: manage end-to-end recruitment efforts including job postings, attending job fairs, and candidate screening.
- Benefits Enrollment & Administration: assist with new hire benefit enrollments and annual open enrollment processes. Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and assist with resolving issues. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to benefits and payroll deductions.
- FMLA and Leave Administration: administer employee leaves of absence including FMLA, short-term disability, and other leave types. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospital policies related to leave.
- Licensure & Certification Compliance: track and monitor licensure and certification requirements for hospital staff. Communicate with departments and individuals regarding upcoming renewals or lapses. Maintain records in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- General HR Support: assist in maintaining employee records and HRIS data integrity. Participate in employee relations efforts and support HR policies and procedures. Collaborate on HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and employee engagement.
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in an HR role preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA.
- Familiarity with healthcare-related licensing and certification requirements is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
